Olive trees lit at night, water still as glass

The pool is the longest line in the villa - a quiet rectangle of water set among olive trees that glow softly at night. By day it catches the Istrian sun; in the evening, with the trees lit, it becomes the center of everything.

Around it: lounge chairs, a stone-paved terrace, and the smell of rosemary from the herb beds along the wall. May to October are all swim weather.
